Digital Learning Resources:

  • In 2021, the state launched the Digital Learning Integration and Standards Guidance online portal, which provides “strategies to build educator and system capacity.” The website aims to enhance overall digital learning, as well as the integration of technology with mathematics and English language arts. The state also provides a list of free educational resources for distance learning.
  • Curious about your district’s internet access? ConnectK-12 provides state- and district-specific information on access to the recommended bandwidth speeds and monthly internet costs.

Career & Technical and/or Work-based Education:

  • Under statute, California allows schools to offer work-based learning opportunities to students. Further, California code authorizes work-based learning experiences to be used for credit towards graduation.
  • Although there isn't a standalone CTE diploma offered to students, California permits the issuance of CTE program completion certificates and transcript notations.
